Guest Access:
You'll have the whole cabin to yourselves - both bedrooms, the full bathroom, kitchen, living room and dining area - along with lake access and the kayaks. Sheets, towels and the basics are all provided.
The Neighborhood:
Cooper's Lakeside sits in peaceful Holdens Bay, right on the eastern shore of Lake Rotorua - a tranquil lakeside pocket with the airport just five minutes away and the city centre an easy drive around the bay. A stroll along the beach brings you to Hannah's Bay Lake Reserve, with its huge children's playground and a boat ramp - great for families and anyone bringing a boat. You're also close to the Redwoods Whakarewarewa Forest for walking and mountain biking, with Te Puia's geysers, the lakefront hot pools at Polynesian Spa and Wai Ariki Spa, and Skyline's gondola and luge all within reach - the best of both worlds, lakeside calm with everything close by.
Getting Around:
You'll want your own vehicle here, with free parking on site and on the street. Hannah's Bay Lake Reserve, with its playground and boat ramp, is a short walk along the beach. Rotorua Airport is just 5 minutes by car, the Redwoods around 12, Te Puia and central Rotorua about 15, and Skyline, Canopy Tours and Zorb roughly 25 minutes over on the western side of the lake.
Other Things to Note:
WIFI runs at around 53 Mbps. There's a garage with a bike wash and racks for the mountain bikers. Being right on the lake, we do get lake flies, especially at dusk as the light changes - they don't bite and are more of an annoyance than anything (they're what feeds the lake's famous trout), but it pays to keep the windows closed at night, especially with the lights on inside.
